A bit off topic, but wondering if anyone her is using or has had experience
with Incapsula or CloudFlare?

Both are cloud-based WAF (web application firewall), DDoS protection, CDN
(content delivery network) services. Basically, you change the DNS of your web
services to them, they filter and block all the bad stuff, cache as necessary,
and then send clean requests to your local web host.

Since the start of 2014, I'm seeing a significant increase in both web
application attacks e.g. SQL injection, brute force, etc. as well as a
sustained use of public-facing web server for SYN reflection attacks on others.
I'm considering the above two services as the local options appear to be very
costly i.e. the yearly subscription fees for most WAF products are insane.

Feel free to contact me off-list if you'd rather not reply to the list.
