Any issues with channel interference into immediately adjacent buildings from
the AT&T-managed gear or (a) did that get taken into account in the design
and/or (b) is your stadium location isolated relative to other campus
buildings? Do you have any campus-managed/campus-network (non-AT&T) wi-fi
within the stadium?

Good morning,
At TCU, we have AT&T in our brand new stadium.
They installed about 300 access points (models Cisco 3502i and 1552E) and
several Cisco 6509 switches.
Runs our fan experience, stadium vision, wireless ticket scanners, etc...
Very good service, knowledge, and implementation.

We also used a third party vendor called GDT, to come in last year, during the
TCU/BU game and run surveys.
They took about 15 guys, with several device types, and walked the fully packed
stadium.
It was a coordinated effort, but in the end, they did a great job and provided
great reports.
They used several programs like AirMagnet, Ekahau, etc....
Which we took back to AT&T, and they made a few changes to the stadium wireless
topology to correct any coverage holes.

Subject: [WIRELESS-LAN] Stadium Wireless Implementations

We are looking at deploying a new wireless implementation and are evaluating a
couple of vendors. This will be an outdoor stadium venue.

Has anyone had experience with AT&T, AMPThink or Cisco Services to do wireless
implementations?

If not are there other vendors that you have had success with on wireless
deployments?

Thanks!
