I still don't see the release notes for 2.2. Anybody have a link? Regarding upgrading or restoring to a fresh VM; I've found it's just best to do the restore route. My last attempt to move from 1.3 to 2.1 failed during the upgrade with an incomprehensible error. Not even TAC knew what to do with it. It was faster to just restore and not deal with bugfixing the process.
I feel Cisco is purposely forcing people to perform the restore to clear out old cruft left from previous upgrades. I can vouch it's been a nightmare moving from WCS all the way to Prime 1.3, which I'd call the first decently stable (but still buggy) release. I plan to stick around on 2.1 until the first rollup patch comes to 2.2. Too often have I been bitten by bugs in a fresh release. The other benefit I found is that you can start with a new thin provisioned VM, and so it doesn't eat all 1.2TB required for the largest instance. Vmotioning around that much data takes quite a while. *Hector Ordorica* Unix & Network Application Support UC San Diego On Thu, Oct 30, 2014 at 8:53 AM, Matt O'Brien <[email protected]> wrote: > We gave up on the upgrades a few versions ago.
