We recently upgraded WISM2 and 5508 controllers from 7.6.130 to 8.0.120.0 and we started to see following trap messages from WISM2 controllers from time to time:
Client Association Failure: MACAddress:34:36:3b:xx:xx:xx Base Radio MAC:00:17:df:xx:xx:xx Slot: 0 User Name:xxxxxx IP Addr: 10.11.172.181 Reason:Maximum number of clients reached on the AP Radio ReasonCode: 105 This affects all type of APs(1131,1142,3502,3702) on WISM2 but seems not happening to the 5508 controllers. We use the default maximum number of clients per radio configuration at 200. But when this happens, the APs have much less clients than 200(from the "show ap auto-rf 802.11b AP_name" command). We have opened a case but no solutions so far. We recently purchased 2 5520's running 8.1.102.0 and have migrated a few areas to the new controller/code and as of this point we have had no issues and plan on moving the rest of the campus in the next 2 weeks.
