Good afternoon folks, I just wanted to give folks a heads-up on a controller crashing bug that I’ve discovered. I’m currently running 8.0.110.0 on a pair of 5508s. We use the mDNS Service Groups feature to wrangle how our AppleTVs show up in the Airplay list (especially since the Airplay list will only show 63 devices). We split the AppleTVs up by building by adding them to the Service Instance List in the Service Group and denoting a location based off of the SNMP location field for the access point. Well, if you add more than 100 devices in this list, the controller locks up and reboots. This bug has been reproduced by Cisco as of last night. Not knocking Cisco here, just don’t want someone else to crash their system. Feel free to ask me questions off or on-list.
