Recently, the University of Pennsylvania set out looking into new options for our guest network access. We are looking both into new captive portal options along policies related to the guest network and the guest network architecture.
Over the last couple of years, I have talked with a number engineers from a number of different institutions regarding their guest networking offerings and policies regarding guest traffic. While I have a lot of word of mouth information, I thought having a formal survey would be a good way to gather the information I'm interested in.
