You should consider the 8.1 train dead (or rapidly dying). It was always meant to be a short lived train. You would want to focus on the latest 8.0 build if you're primary focus is a long lived and if you are unable to stomach the rapid code churn of the bleeding edge - and of course have no new hardware or software feature requirements. -Sam
