I disabled the 2.4 rates all the way up to 2.4GHz over spring break. It was
much less catastrophic than I had imagined.

The only device that broke on my campus was the Nintendo Wii, which I knew
would happen. I had some USB adapters at the ITS Help Desk in people still
needed connectivity. Only 2 students took me up on it.

Do you have a reporting engine (Prime Infrastructure/Airwave) that can tell you
how many clients are b-only? (Note, the Wii doesn't show up no these reports,
because it is .11g, but it won't work without 1Mbps/2Mbps)

Good luck,

Subject: [WIRELESS-LAN] 802.11b data rates disabled?

Do you have all of the 802.11b data rates disabled? If so, how long have they
been disabled? Did you have many complaints when you disabled them? Were
there any particular devices that could not connect as a result?

I'm hoping this information will help us move towards disabling these old
rates.
Thank you for your feedback.
