Long term, 5.8 will have a longer support lifetime.  It's running well in a 
number of my accounts.  However, in 5.7 they overhauled the monitoring and 
reporting with flash.

I have an intense hatred of all things flash which makes 5.7+ unappealing.  
That said, either make plans to move away from ACS (ISE, CPPM, FreeRadius, etc) 
or buck up and install flash.
