We've used those covers as well in some of our installs. They are nice covers and the bonus is they are pretty cheap. Since you bring up the Oberon products I'd like to ask if anyone has used the pedestals they offer? Here is the link to it:
http://oberoninc.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4561&Itemid=399 It has enough room to house any of the Aruba APs even their AP275. The height is about 5ft so it would have limitations of where it would be installed. My thoughts at this point are mostly along sidewalks and patio/courtyard areas and installing them in raised planters, between benches, and possibly around some of the statues. My concerns are how sturdy are they, would they stand up to someone leaning on them or even a skateboarder? Mark G. We weren't happy with how they looked though so started using Oberon covers and painting them These are what's in those photos but painted, we usually have the AP inside the building though not with in the outdoor enclosure on those. http://oberoninc.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1987&Itemid=399<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__oberoninc.com_index.php-3Foption-3Dcom-5Fcontent-26view-3Darticle-26id-3D1987-26Itemid-3D399&d=DwMFAg&c=HPMtquzZjKY31rtkyGRFnQ&r=qtdMxmrLBOTSsWK0o4D02Q&m=fk-K_LHMyuAmYkejgPHe53BfaOrq47fYr2HgFQFyPLI&s=HgV96oTIxRoEfak9YmHD4YzDkeTriPAwcAfURp0zgas&e=> They seem to have a good selection of options including Bollards that show up in the 1562 search -- Jason Cook Information Technology and Digital Services The University of Adelaide, AUSTRALIA 5005 Ph : +61 8 8313 4800 CRICOS Provider Number 00123M ----------------------------------------------------------- This email message is intended only for the addressee(s) and contains information which may be confidential and/or copyright. Unfortunately, we are getting pushback that, aesthetically, this is not going to be allowed, even with camouflaging of the AP. We have now ben tasked with providing photos of outdoor APs in use on other campuses. Thirty minutes on Google showed that this was not an easy thing to find, so we are wondering if anyone has photos of outdoor APs on their campus buildings that they would be willing to share. Preferably, Cisco 1562s, but anything to show that other universities are willing to bend a little on looks to gain wireless coverage. If you have any information on how you handled this dilemma, that would be appreciated as well.
