Hi All,

This summer we made some security upgrades to our wireless forcing our
campus users to connect using either our EAP-PEAP secure network (eduroam)
or a registration network for devices that cannot do 802.1x.

We have ran into some issues with our public or lab devices that used to
connect via an open network. Now we either have to force users to connect
using their own credentials, role out generic accounts, or allow these
devices to connect to a PSK network. This also introduces issues with pre
login on both Mac and PCs.

We are leaning toward having a dedicated WPA2 PSK wireless network that we
do not broadcast for this purpose. Then we can push the profile down to our
MAC and PCs.

*My question is this. How are other universities wirelessly connecting
labs, or public devices that are used by students and staff members?*

Thank you,

Dan
