I got two reports in the last 24 hours for people who saw what I thought
was a problem with switching bands.
Turns out both have their AP announcing VHT support for the 2.4Ghz band
as well. I'll look into that to see if I can filter it out but as said
in another part of this thread[1] I have not AP to reproduce this.
If you run in the a firmware crash where the log just before the
firmware crash shows:
ieee80211_sta_join: BSS xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx: 2GHz channel, VHT info;
ignoring
or the crash report shows the 'last host cmd' ending in 50F:
iwlwifi0: 0x000A050F | last host cmd
then you are likely hitting this problem.
I'll try to filter these bits out.
