I have been getting an error from iwlwifi intermittently for the past few weeks. No impact that I can detect, but I thought I would report it in case it could be useful. WARNING tid != 8 failed at /usr/src/sys/contrib/dev/iwlwifi/mvm/tx.c:2035 It has only occurred 3 times between October 17 and today: 17-Oct, 4-Nov, and 7-Nov. Over that period I have updated my system every few days with main-n280801-213170eb956f: Wed Oct 1 19:37:46 PDT 2025 running at hte time of the first report. The device is a Lenovo T16 (Intel Gen. 1). Let me know if I can provide further information.
If we wanted to debug this we'd likely wanted the actual tid passed into that function, the caller func:line, and some more meta-information. If you want to test and debug I can provide you a patch (or temporary put it into main as I have done for some other WARN* PRs)? I wonder if this happens (in case you see it again or still have logs with time stamps) right after wlan0 comes up? The one thing which makes me wonder is how often it actually happens? Given it is a WARN_ON_ONCE() we'll only see the first time logged.... /bz -- Bjoern A. Zeeb r15:7
