Problem with Linksys WUSB 2.5 and Windows XP.
The wireless connection gets dropped. (Signal strength in the 80% range and no movement of WUSB 2.5 or WAP11). Once the wireless connection is dropped the PC shows that one network is available, but is unable to connect. Enable and disable in the network control panel, The network is still unable to connect. If I cycle power on the PC the network comes back. Unplugging and plugging the adapter after the lock up does not produce the beep indicators that the hardware is installed or removed. When shutting down the PC it locks up and is unable to shutdown properly. Here is the network layout. Internet---cat5-->BEFW11S4---cat5--->WAP11(A)---wireless->WAP11(B)--cat5 crossover-->WAP11(C)--wireless->WUSB2.5 Additional clients in the area of C have there connection disrupted when the WAB2.5 locks up. (This is know because their VPN connection is dropped). The other Computers are able to reconnect with out a reboot. The same PC that has it VPN connection drop at point C is unaffected when connected at point A. The WAP11 at point A (CH1) is in AP mode with 128bit encryption on. The WAP11 at point B (CH1) is in AP Client Mode with 128bit encryption on. The WAP11 at point C (CH6) is in AP mode with 128bit encryption on. All units have the same SSID. I have turned back the install on the XP PC and installed the latest driver from the web site. Ver (1.7.29.1032) PLEASE HELP. THE PC IS ONLY ABLE TO RUN FOR ABOUT 45 mins before the WUSB2.5 locks up. The PC is still useable, but no network.
