As anyone run a link test between
Dlink 703-P and Oricoco PC card?
I use Orinoco latest
firmware, driver and Client Manager on an A20 ThinkPad equipped with the
Orinoco Gold.
Connection shows as excellent, yet
packets count is only done at the 1 Mbps speed
My previous set-up was
peer-to-peer between the ThinkPad and a desktop with a PCI adapter and the
second Orinoco. For internet access, the desktop was also hooked to a
cable modem and running ICS. The WLAN link test was done from exactly the same
physical locations. It reported excellent Radio connection but packets were
counted at each of the 4 speeds: 1/2/5.5/11 Mbps.
In short, I wonder if my new setup
using the Dlink 713-P Access Point router as lowered my WLAN connecting speed
to only 1 Mbps ?
