What do people think of Symbol 802.11 access points in general? Do they
have any non-obvious limitations like Aironet/Cisco's ACK-timeout-based
range restriction or anti-bridge code? Do they make you fiddle with client
count license keys or have any similar record-keeping headaches? Anyone
know what ACK timeout would be selected by an Aironet/Cisco client associating
to a Symbol (or any non-Aironet) access point? I'm guessing that the client
would configure for minimum range in the absence of the proprietary extension
used to pass the AP/bridge's setting, but I'd like to be wrong...

I'm looking at some pre-configured/certified 250mw systems based on Symbol
access points from Techsplanet/Newgenwireless. They aren't exactly cheap,
but on the other hand the premium for a configured system doesn't seem too
bad for the reduction in hassle.
