I'm running an AP-1000 with one radio card connected to a sector panel on a 120 ft tower that services clients to the west of me. I am negotiating rights to use a grain tower with LOS accross the valley (2.2mi) as a repeater. The second radio on the AP1000 is not being used. I have no issues with signal quality between the pop and the remtoe site. It's clear LOS and I have very good signal at the grain tower from my pop. (No I don't use an amplifier, just a very good high gain sector panel)
All my clients are standard 802.11b WIFI. I'd like to install another AP1000 at the grain tower. I'd like to service 802.11b clients in that cell and route (not bridge) the traffic back to the main pop. I plan to establish 3 cells connecting to the main pop. I believe I can use Karnet and configure one radio to support 802.11b clients and the other radio to use Turbocell. The question is, can I then configure Karnet to route traffic from that cell's 802.11b clients back to the main pop over the other radio? The Karlnet site is vague, their sales people do not return calls and it's sometimes confusing to me what procduct I need. Is it the SEC package or Turbocell, why one and not the other etc. Any help would be appreciated. Perhaps I should just be patient and wait for something like the Musenki M-3 that can act as an AP and route traffic back to my main pop. However, I'd like to get this up and going in the next month or so. -T __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? LAUNCH - Your Yahoo!
