Get an Apple Airport card. While the slot is supposedly not a true
PCMCIA slot, I have heard of success putting CF Card converters in it,
but there really isn't space to put a non-Apple wireless card in the
slot for the most part. Apple cards are quite nice as they are
equivalent to either the silver or gold (40-bit or 128-bit) Lucent
cards, but are software upgradable to 128-bit. So, even an old card
will upgrade with the 2.0 Airport software (Or so I have read).

Plus, if you look around, you can find some places occasionally selling
the Airport for $50 which is cheaper than I have ever seen a Orinoco
Gold sell for.

I bought a new system pull Airport (Used, basically) and it works great
(Tested with RG-1000, Airport Basestation, etc.) . Now if I just had a
base station :) That is my next plan...
