The deal is that some vendors seem to have a supply of AirPort cards with
the 1.0 firmware in them that they're selling for $50. In fact, these cards
can be fully flashed to the 2.0 (128-bit WEP, etc.) software just by
downloading Apple's AirPort updater and installing it with the card in the
machine.
