hmm.

ok so the set-up that I, and bill too, were going for was setting up a 
wap11 to associate with an AP so that a wired client could participate 
in the network.

client<--->wap11<--->802.11AP<--->(Network)

i have read the replies that say it works, and i am vexed by the fact 
that i don't have the hardware described.

what i don't quite understand is if the wap11 can associate with some of 
the AP's on the market why not with all.  Is there a subset of the 
802.11b protocol that handles this and which is not fully supported in 
the cheaper residential gateways on the market?
