I have the exact same problem with my SMC2632 (PRISM II). It works fine with my main WAP11 which has the antenna on the roof but it refuses to work with both WAP11v2.2 I have for some reason. I get a connection of about half a second then it fails. This is at a distance of one meter. No matter what I try (channels, encryption etc.) it doesn't work. I think this is a bug in the new WAP11v2.2.
