Windows-only users could always use VPN - it's not usually too difficult to configure. What would be very helpful would be for APs to support Windows VPN protocols directly. Obviously BSD and linux-based APs allow this possibility, but something more consumer-centric would be pretty good for security. On a similar note, I just noticed what looks just like the Actiontec home gateway available in the UK.
