hey all

so after some thought - i think open ap's are the way to go for getting that quick
'online fix' during the day while i sort out my bandwith issues.

wondering - has anyone found any good ap discovery tools for mac osx? basically - a
'netstumbler/kismet' equivalent that works on the mac, either using the internal
airport card or a pcmcia lucent card (with antenna). i know its possible to run
tcpdump and get 802.11 packets (not full frames) and ive even played with etherpeg
(for cool visual sniffing).... but is there anything specifically for discovering
ap's? what about rfmon mode for the orinoco card .. is that a factor?

thanx
