Ouch!
Folks. I would hope that this list can help everyone. Certainly
it has a SF Bay slant, but the main purpose to BAWUG is to educate.
I would hope that regional groups get their own mailing list
together as I assume they don't want to hear about SF centric
issues as well as readers of this group may not want to know about
Chicago centric issues.
BUT!
Many of the issues that a regional will encounter will be the same
issues we have dealt with here or will encounter too. Let's help
others in getting their network deployed. That may mean that they
use the BAWUG list for a very short period to boot their mailing
list. I would love to hear that Chicago or any city is on line
with some deployment and they are doing it with this chewing gum
and this type of bailing wire. This is the kind of thing that will
spark us into doing other work here.
If we want very specific content, then start another list. I can
think of a number other lists such as the SF Wireless folks that
would be consider a sub-list of BAWUG with a regional content that
may or may not contribute to BAWUG.
