Hi, I've got an original (graphite) Apple Airport that's been acting up recently.
After the regular power-on sequence of blinky lights, all three LED's stay dark. The unit is SSID beaconing, and wireless clients are able to associate, but it doesn't appear to be forwarding packets, nor is it reachable via SNMP. A look underneath the shell confirms that the WaveLAN PCMCIA card is properly seated, and functioning in access point mode. So, have I fallen victim to the shifty capacitor problem? I'm inclined to think so (my serial # is 952...), but if that were the case, shouldn't my unit cease to function *at all*? Am I effectively SOL?
