On the matter of hotspots, hotzones etc, has anybody here considered the
notion of interconnect, as with IDD/telecomms? (and my apologies if this is
something discussed and dismissed: I'm new to this NL and this problem
domain); but it seems to me that roaming agreements between the various
hotzone (*) providers would do a lot to make life easier - after all, I
already pay $50.00/month for wired access; and the point of being mobile is
that I mindlessly drift from place to place. I don't mind anchoring myself
at the Peet's on Polk (+) for my 10am mail sync, but in the P.M -- who knows
where I'll be; and $30/month for what amounts to only 1/3 time access is no
good.

But, if I paid $40/month and I knew that $10 permitted me to roam, then
suddenly the virtue of WiFi reflects that of cellphones (=) -- connectivity
without regard to location, and that's what I really want

Briquebats and bockets to

(*) A much sexier, if less prurient sounding term than "hotspot"
(+) I wish.
(=) no, not crappy service but location independence. Location independence
is not the same as mobility, IMNSHBPFO.
