To all those who replied to me with "orinoco" and other generics... Orinico doesn't appear to make an 802.11a wireless card yet, though they do make 2 802.11b cards which do have external antenna jacks. 802.11b is 2.4GHz. I'm looking for 802.11a, which is in the 5GHz range (5150-5250,5250-5350,5725-5825MHz). One answer I got was that FCC requires integrated antennas in 802.11a's low band. Since the products for 802.11a are largely in their infancy, I'm hoping someone releases an 802.11a card which has an external jack that only is connected when using 802.11a's middle band. I'd love for some PCMCIA cards to use the high band, but I'm not going to hold my breath yet. The high band is targeted at long haul point to point, and that almost requires external antennas.
