Hello to all those who read/participate on the list.

Im relatively new to the wireless scene and am currently in the process of
designing a small network for personal use. I would very much welcome your
views and ideas on the following.

The above image illustrates the general route followed by the network, with
approximate distances and angles. Each clientside node has direct line of
sight towards the nearest access point (marked in yellow) with them being in
viewing distance of each other also.

My question relates towards the two APs/Repeaters. I would really appreciate
some suggestion for configurations. currently ive researched the following
possible solutions:

1) Utilise small size portable computer, installed with two radio cards
forming an internal bridge (however this concerns me with the NAT
masquerading, possibly unsuitable due to networking restrictions?) with
directional antennas pointing at corresponding locations (forming external
bridge).

2) Configure two APs (bridged internally) back-to-back at either repeater
point. Once again using directional antennas.

3) Make use of OpenAP (http://opensource.instant802.com) software, with just
one USR2450 installed at either point. Combined with 90degree Sector
antennas. Does anybody have any experience with this software, as far as i
know its capable of hosting multipoint-to-multipoint sessions, building a
mesh-like network. Which in this case would seem the most suitable.

As always cost/reliability/efficiency is a factor.

Opinions/views welcome.

Regards.
