The ability to attach external antennas. Tony's card has dual RP-MMCX
connectors on it. The Compaq card appears to have a captive
(integrated) antenna.

There are 200mW PCMCIA cards available for $89 each (plus s&h, and
sales tax if you're in Texas), with, or without the ability to attach
an external antenna.

    PC Card (PCMCIA)
    3.3V/5V compatible.
Chipset: Intersil Prism 2.5. Runs 'hostap' driver just fine.
    TX power: 200mW (23dBm +/- 2dBm)
Antenna connectors (External antenna model): dual MMCX connectors, **NO INTERNAL
ANTENNA*
Antenna connectors (Internal antenna model): integrated dual diversity
    RX sensitivity:
The manufacturer (Senao) says that they rate the RX sensitivity at
      -95dBm -93dBm -91dBm -89dBm for 1, 2, 5.5 and 11Mbps.

Spec sheet is here: http://www.netgate.com/lit/SENAO-DOE08-SL-2511CD-PLUS-EXT-2.pdf

I sell these **OUTSIDE** of Musenki. Matt sells them too, I think.
