Ok folks, there has been a bunch of work in getting our next meeting

(We have actually be delaying this announcement a bit as we think we
may have more hours than what I have shown here. We may have up
to 10PM but this is not set yet. Don't count on it until you see
another email confirming this.)

The start time of 7PM will be co-located at the Birds of a Feather
(BOF) session that Cliff is doing talking about wireless networks
and the Mac. The description follows...

---

areas:

hardware Software Base Station and OS X Wireless networking
        security and various basics 101.

Our "official" session will start at 8PM right after this, but
please come for Cliff's session as it will be applicable to anyone
that wants to or runs a wireless network. (Plus Matt Peterson will
be handing out 100 dollar bills to all that come at 7PM.*)

What we have planned for 8PM is Cory Doctorow covering some of the
civil rights issues of running open APs. Should be an eye opener.
Cory would also like to you feed back and ideas of how EFF should
approach this issue. If you want to have a voice in this matter,
this is the event you should show up to.

If you want to see more of what the EFF has been up to on wireless,

"A mass in movement resists change of direction. So does the world
oppose a new idea. It takes time to make up the minds to its value
and importance. Ignorance, prejudice and inertia of the old retard
its early progress. It is discredited by insincere exponents and
selfish exploiters. It is attacked and condemned by its enemies.
Eventually, though, all barriers are thrown down, and it spreads
like fire. This will also prove true of the wireless art."
