It seems that the most recent flash cards from Samsung (both marketed
direct by them) as well as those branded under the Transcend name in the
64mb and 128mb range are -not- fully sealed/solid.

But in fact contain a cavity. This cavity somehow had/is-able-to attract
enough ?condensation? water in fairly normal use as to cause trouble
during sub zero (celcius) temperatures which causes the case to crack open
and the disk to be mechanically damaged.

Has anyone seen this before; up till known all cards used where
solid/sealed and had no such issues. Is this a new trend and common now
with the cheaper cards. And as an aside; they are less than 2/3s of the
weight of an older sandisk card of the same capacity.
