The HS access-wired-in-the-room program has been going on for quite some
time. It is one of the major reasons I belong to the Marriott "Frequent
Flier" program called Marriott Rewards. It is true for all of the Marriott
chains as well, e.g., CourtYards, Fairfield Inns, Sumerfield, etc, etc. I
have successfully hassled particular Marriotts that didn't have it by
complaining at the front desk, then writing a letter. Subsequently, I got an
email letting me know that the HS access was now available.

Some of the fancier Marriott's (one in Wash DC for example) provide the
first night's HS access for free. Adding 802.11b will keep them ahead of the
pack. Hilton also has many hotels with HS access in the room.
