I have an Ericsson T39m and a 3Com Bluetooth PC Card. The Ericsson software is pretty neat, in that it will wirelessly sync my Outlook address book to my cellphone so all my latest phone #'s are "at hand". I can surf out to the internet via Bluetooth to my T39 (either flat-rate 9600bps circuit-switched data, or 56k GPRS - pay per byte). I also have an Ericsson HBH-30 bluetooth headset. I love the fact that there are no wires dangling, etc.
I also have 802.11b in my laptop. Even while downloading a file over 802.11b and synchronizing bluetooth 3COm <--> Ericsson I don't have any problems/issues/visible slowdowns - and that is with BOTH devices sitting right on top of eachother in the PC Card slots of my laptop. The same test works fine printing to an HP Bluetooth printer (and downloading over 802.11b) - no interruptions to either connection. Bluetooth and 802.11b co-exist just fine in my own experience. Does anybody have experience with bluetooth yet? I just got a bluetooth phone (sony-ericsson t68i) and wanted to experiment with it. Some specific questions: Any suggestions on USB bluetooth adaptors? Apple is selling the D-Link. http://www.deluo.com has one that seems nice and that claims linux support. How much will it interfere with a WAP-11 base station? Anybody tried anything with syncml? I want to generate and download some scheduling info from a linux box to the mobile phone.
