In the beginning more as one hundred years ago they called it Wireless
Marconi called it Wireless, after that we called it Radio..
But Radio was deemed old fashion, who want to study Radio Engineering nowadays?
So we started to call it Wireless again to make it new :=) :=)

A major development! --jack

AUBURN UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES FIRST MAJOR IN WIRELESS
For the first time in the U.S., engineering students at Auburn University
have declared a major in wireless communications. While Auburn, located in
Alabama, is the first U.S. institution to offer a wireless major, schools
in other nations, such as Canada's Carleton University and Zhejiang
University in China, already have similar programs.
