Berkeley Espresso runs an intentionally open AP. They're a good cafe for wireless; they have power outlets near many of the tables.Date: Sat, 4 Jan 2003 21:40:10 -0800 (PST) From: Bill Woodcock <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Ross Finlayson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [BAWUG] TechTV covers wireless access point [sharing]> >An interesting note on this issue... I think it's called Berkeley Espresso. On the southwest corner of Shattuck and Hearst.
While we're on the topic, does anyone know of any other internet cafes in Berkeley? Surf-and-sip has four (Brewed Awakening, A Cuppa Tea, and two others), Deep Blue Wireless runs the access points in Cafe Milano on Bancroft and Espresso Roma on College, then there are the T-Mobile Starbucks. Berkeley Espresso is the only independent, and the only free one, that I know of.
Are there any I'm missing in Berkeley?
