Senior Engineer, Test/QA (Wi-Fi Focus)

Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and automate functional as well as
system test 
cases for Wi-Fi products. 
- Characterize failures, suggest solutions, and verify
fixes.
- Working closely with development team drive closure
of 
feature/product issues.
- Review feature specifications for testability,
usability, and 
overall quality. 

Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate would have demonstrated experience
in testing 
Wireless LAN (802.11) products (hardware and
software).  Strong 
candidate would have solid experience of testing
Ethernet LAN 
(802.1, 802.2, 802.3), and excellent knowledge of
Wi-Fi (802.11).
- Thorough knowledge of  designing and debugging WLAN
networks with 
considerations of security, range/rate, and L2
protocols (STP, VLAN, 
QoS, Aggregation, etc.).  
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite is required.
 
- Knowledge of Internet routing protocols, security 
applications/protocols, traffic engineering, and
Network Management 
Systems is a plus.
- Solid foundation in test automation including
scripting 
(preferably perl), and UNIX shells/utilities. 
Experience in Linux 
(drivers, kernel modules, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to work in closely knit, fast moving,
multi-functional 
engineering teams.
- BS EE/CS and 3+ years experience in LAN/WAN/WLAN
industry.
