I think sometimes when there is a weak signal Net stumbler will return hardly any data on an AP this may be the case if you are using Net Stumbler, try to get closer to the AP (if you can) to figure it out. if this isnt the problem then i have no idea.

I noticed a new AP in my neighborhood today; so I scanned it and found
that the MAC address is reported as XXXXXXXXXXXX ... does this mean it's
running WEP?  The network name is 498ECJAGA ... sound familiar?

It's not that strong of a signal, but it's new.

I don't see anyone parked outside my house :-)
