Ok, so my question is wether or not this thing checks the input signal and amplifies accordingly while still staying within FCC regulations. If not couldnt you stack a dozen of these together and roast chicken over you antenna? lol. another interesting thing to check out is if this thing mods your WAP 11 for you, isnt it just some SNMP packets? it could check the current setting and mod it if needed. just some thoughts.

I just installed one today into my network and it seems to provide quite
a boost. Places where I had almost no signal I have good signal strength
now. There may be better ways to improve signal strength but I find this
device simple and low cost at $90.

Yes, If have already mod'ed your WEP11 for 100mW then you only get about
50% more power.  Wasn't the WEP11 rated for 30mW?  In that case, you get
nearly 5 times the power with the booster.
