I can't cite the section, but I too thought FCC rules prohibited the use of cellular phones above a certain HAAT, a rule designed to preclude their use while "aeronautical mobile" for the specific reason of avoiding the confusion that voting into that many sites would cause. I had that severely challenged when I found an installed 3W analog phone in a news helo operated by then-KNBC, now dba NBC-4 in Los Angeles. Can anybody clarify the issue of the legality of such operation?
