I've been thinking about running an open access point, and I worry about it being
misused. Specifically, I worry about someone sending spam through my access point,
which would get me in trouble (I'd probably lose my DSL account).

I'm just wondering how those of you that run open NAPs deal with this problem.
Blocking port 25 isn't a great solution because it limits the usefulness of the NAP. I
was thinking that some sort of authentication scheme would be in order. I have an idea
how to implement it, but I'd like to know if anyone else has already gotten something
working. If your NAP is completely open and anonymous, how do you deal with the
problem of misuse?

Thanks,
-jamie
