I can see it from my window.. the tower on San Bruno Mountain... It beckons! Probably less than 2 miles away.

Does anyone have suggestions on the *cheapest* way to link to BARWN? I'm considering the following:
1. Use an old laptop I have and an Orinoco card and get a Linux router distro
2. Hack a commercial 802.11b router to route from the wireless side to the LAN (is this even possible?)
3. Buy a router that performs the function already. (I'm reluctant to go this route, unless it is really cheap.)

In all cases I'm prepared to invest in a Yagi (or similar) antenna.

The setup needs to support more than one computer...

Thanks in advance for comments, suggestions, words from the wise, etc.
