So what about the "flip" side of this discussion, instead of AT&T busting you for sharing via your access point, what about leeching free broadband off a neighbors access point. With my yagi antenna, I can get a solid connection to two open access points by my house,and thats just pointing the antenna through the wall, not even on the
roof. I've also taken the laptop and antenna to 3 other friends houses and found that I can hit at least one open access point. While maybe un-ethical, it seems like just borrowing your neighbors access point is a very feasible way to get free broadband. I seriously doubt the typical neophite would ever notice. Like you're a little parasite on their broadband connection that never hurts them :) I'm really curious how much of this goes on today, with a quick wardrive of my neighborhood, I estimate there are 2 open access points per block, so I suspect this happens a lot. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
