So, finally got set up to 'wardrive' (we really must find a better phrase - the looming stupid war we are about to start in Iraq makes that phrase really distasteful to me).
Anyway, driving from Cow Hollow in San Francisco to Daly City using an Orinoco card and no external antenna, notebook sitting on my front seat (hardly optimum RF conditions) I saw 126 networks along my route. Data to follw as I have time to do something with it... but I find it pretty amazing that I saw that many without even really trying.
