I dont know if such a thing exists already, but i think that it would be very useful when looking for an open AP to connect to if it had some kind of tag in the SSID that marked that AP as open to the public. while thinking about this i thought that the war chalking open circle could be used and represented as 2 parenthesis )(. this is still being thought about on my part and i dont even know if )( are allowed characters in the SSID. i just thought i would throw it out there. i think the impications of this could be large.
