I don't know if this was mentioned before on this list or not, but I'll appologize ahead of time:
Has anyone had experience using a Orinoco RG-1000 (aka Dell Truemobile wireless Residential Gateway) with other brands of client cards (i.e. LinkSys, D-Link, etc) using WEP? The reason being is in the RG-1000 setup, the WEP key is 5 characters long, but on the client software for certain brands, you must enter the whole key in hex. I have tried using the same characters, converting the ASCII to hex, and padding it all sorts of ways but nothing seems to work. Dell TrueMobile wireless clients work fine.
