Most of us know what a cavity backed slot antenna is. Youve also seen the pictures of the Navy's Aegis cruisers, with the big flat panels of antennas on each side.
These antennas are electronically steered, and will do multiple microwave frequencies as well, (2.4 ghz and 5.8 come to mind) the method I wont belabor, but its quite do-able.

You take a van, a bread truck cube van for example, install steerable panels on all four sides, Aegis style, and youve got a mobile Sigint vehicle. You log readings, direction of best signal, your GPS coordinates and drive around.

This gives wardriving a new meaning.

I'll be the first to admit its a big project, and the antenna design shouldnt be too complicated, seeing you only need the two frequency bands.
