I run WAP54G boxes installed in outdoor boxes with built in antennas. They give about 17 Mbps with netperf. Range will of course be a function of antenna gain. With the built in antennas they performed at full spec up to 12 meter. One of my links are about 300 meter and have about 9 dB antenna gain per WAP54G

Hi,

Today i use Cisco BR340 to setup long range outdoor links (around 25-30 miles) and they work very, very well.

The problem is the real badwidth is only about 4Mbits. But now i need ot setup a 25 mile link with 20Mbits REAL bandwidth.

I'm thinking in using 802.11g. Anyone got a setup like this working ? Any suggestions ?

What equipment/brand should i use ?

802.11b amps and antennas are compatible with 802.11g ?

What is the real bandwidth of 802.11g ?

And the outdoor range ?

Thank You Very Much,
Jensen
