Hi,

A friend who's in Africa is thinking about buying an AP called the ezWave 1100E. I found that another product called Acrowave 1100E appears to be the same. It seems it may use a Prism chipset, though I don't know which one. It appears to be from Korea, and be fully 802.11b compliant, 100 mW. It's got support apparently for 2048 clients. It seems to be an oldish model as well... the only price I could find was from Singapore,

NETO001 Other AAP-1100E 12/26/2001 600

singapore $600 is $345 US currently. But the price it's offered at where my friend is at, is $150 roughly. He thinks it is probably old stock that they want to get rid of.

There's a picture here:

And details from the maker with a bigger picture here:

My question is, has anyone ever seen/used this AP? There's very little mention of it in google. It seems like a good radio and the price is cheap, but the lack of info online makes me nervous.
