The wap11 link I run has poor performance due to a preset ack window
of 20 microseconds. This causes many retries on each packet sent, filling
the medium with retries, penalizing performance.

The link is 7km, or 47 microseconds in round trip time, exceeding the
20 microsecond window and causing retries. I need to have a bridge with
a configurable "ack window".

What would be an AP/bridge with such a configuable parameter?
I found a manual for a Fedtech Communication FW2001BRS / FW2001BRC
http://www.wireless.net.tw/fedtechbridgemanual.htm

"ACK window
This is the waiting time for the acknowledgement, again expressed in slot
time. 1 unit is 1slot time (roundtrip) and represents 3 km. Increase this
number for large distances. 2 represents 6 km, 3 represents 9 km etc. It
will not harm the link if the ACK window is larger than the corresponding
distance. To fine tune the throughput, increase the number, measure the
throughput, and then start to decrease the ACK window while monitoring the
throughput."

The company seem lacking in retailers.

Anyone using a bridge/AP with the ack window configurable?
what models?

On my desk I have a work station. Trains stop at train stations.
