Hi All, I have a question : Is it compulsary to use FEC with OFDM technology such as 802.11 a/g. My understanding is that FEC algorithm Solmon Reed Encoder/decoder is used at the PHY level. Does programmer have control over enabling it or disabling it.
2) If a programmer can enable it or disable it then how can he do that ..like is there any field in the header you can set ?? 3) Can two equipment one with FEC enabled and one with FEC disable talk to each other??
